Monice was born in Northern California and began her hair journey at a young age.
Monice found a new appreciation for the art of curls after becoming certified through Ouidad, “The Curl Experts.” After some years of working behind the chair, she wished to explore the world of salon ownership. In 2016 she became co-owner of Nevaeh Salon, a twelve-chair salon in Roseville, CA. She became well-versed in both Summit and Strategies business concepts during her co-owning.
In 2017 Monice joined the Ouidad Education team and started her journey to helping other stylists gain curl confidence. Soon she began to facilitate certifications across the United States. Her first debut in taking the stage was at a Curl Artisan event in Long Beach, California. In 2019 she made her appearance on Salon Centric’s Main Stage at the ABS show in Chicago.
Monice made the bold step to open her studio salon, MoHairGoals Salon emerged and was an immediate success. Specializing in texture and blonding, she could draw in a clientele near and far from those seeking her expertise.
Monice has joined forces with the Hanzo Nation Education Team in hopes of continuing to spread curl knowledge. She has continued to thrive within BBI as an Artistic Director for Ouidad, Wet Brush Pro, and Bio Ionic. Her new endeavor is to bring curl services working behind the chair in Los Angeles at a salon in Pasadena, CA. She hopes to continue to spread the curl love in helping educate others during their curl journey.
