I began my journey in the grooming industry in 2011 by pursuing a license in cosmetology. While I gained a strong foundation in hair styling, color, and design, I quickly discovered that barbering was my true passion. I’ve spent the past decade combining the art of cosmetology with the precision of barbering, bringing a unique, polished style to every client in my chair.
Over the years, I’ve held leadership roles, including managing a high-volume, reputable barbershop, and during the pandemic, I pivoted by launching my own private studio. That leap of faith led to opening my own barbershop, which I’ve successfully owned and operated for over five years. Through consistent growth and adaptability, I’ve built a loyal clientele and established Filoso Barber Company as a respected name in the community.
In addition to hands-on barbering, I’ve partnered with multiple industry brands and currently serve as COO and co-founder of Ivy League Barber Academy. With two locations in North County San Diego and the Inland Empire, we are committed to educating the next generation of barbers with modern techniques and professional standards.
My goal as an educator is to empower others in the craft, to raise the standard of excellence and blend technical skills with creativity, professionalism, and passion.
