The Hattori Hanzo Shears HHVL Mamba is a natural wet/dry hybrid left-handed shear we developed with high-carbon dry cutting steel. We call it a “hybrid shear” because while it has outstanding dry cutting properties, it has the blade design of a narrow, precision wet cutting shear. The Mamba truly is the best of both worlds. With a handle reminiscent of classic Sassoon handles, the HHVL is constructed with a slight offset and a minor rounded thumb to increase comfort and control. A small whip tang is a strategic part of the design with the freestyle cutter in mind. The tang allows the user to manipulate the better position of the shear in their hands. The left-hand configured Mamba comes in two sizes: 5.5” and 6.0” inches.
As the Mamba is one of our most versatile shears, we also provide this in a right-handed configuration. Right-handed barbers and stylists can find that orientation listed as the Hattori Hanzo Shears HHV.

Countersunk locking tension control
Countersunk locking tension control enables stylists and barbers to readily adjust and control the amount of tension or tightness between the blades of the shears. This feature is important for maintaining the performance and longevity of the scissor, as well as ensuring clean and efficient cuts. It allows users to tailor the tool’s performance to specific cutting tasks and materials.
Screw-in bumper
This feature is designed to absorb shock or impact and protect the shears from damage during use. It is often found on the pivot area of the shears, where the two blades meet and interact.
