One of the newest shears in our lineup, the Hattori Hanzo Shears HH22 is one of the most special cutting tools out there. The HH22 features one of the first traditional Japanese handles in our line. You’ll notice the very slight offset and the straight necks. Instead of having rounded edges, this shear has harder, sleeker edges. Designed with a thumb cradle instead of a rounded thumb, we developed the HH22 to pocket the thumb for much more complete control in precision and scissor-over-comb work. The shear has a slightly exaggerated camel tang designed to envelop the pinky finger exquisitely for control of the stationary blade and comfort of the hand. While the HH22 is a little thinner, you’ll find the blades are a bit wider. That combination helps turn this into a very versatile cutting shear that is great in wet hair with some added dry cutting properties. The movement of the shear is extraordinarily smooth and comes in three different sizes, between 5.5” and 6.5” inches.
