In Memoriam: Graham Nation (1985-2025)

Graham Nation was a visionary hairstylist and beloved creative spirit whose influence continues to inspire. Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Graham brought passion, talent, and originality to every aspect of his life and work. After moving to Denver as a young man, he discovered his love for iconic hair and fashion—an obsession that would shape his extraordinary career.

He honed his craft at the Aveda Institute and quickly rose to prominence in his local scene. Eventually, Graham made the leap to Los Angeles, where his artistry and energy found a larger stage. There, he met renowned stylist Ken Paves, and the two bonded over a shared love of fashion, editorial expression, and redefining the boundaries of hair design.

Over the years, Graham built a reputation for his distinct aesthetic—timeless, tailored styles with an undone, edgy twist. Inspired by the creative currents of New York and London, he often said, “Much of the stuff coming out of LA is so polished, and I love to rough the look up a bit to give a personalized sense of freedom and individuality.”

Graham worked with an elite list of clients, including Victoria Beckham, Bebe Rexha, Ashanti, and Kathy Ireland. But beyond his talent, his warmth, authenticity, and deep care for people left a lasting mark. Graham brought joy and fearless creativity to every space he entered, whether on set or behind the chair.

He passed away in early 2025, but his legacy lives on—in the work he created, the people he touched, and the vibrant spirit he brought into the world. He was more than a stylist; he was a friend, a force, and a light.

Rest in peace, Graham Nation.

Your artistry endures.
Your presence is missed.
Your impact is everlasting.
