Description

The HH44 Yugen, and its counterpart, the HH4 Menuki, are the most ergonomic fixed-handled shears in the Hattori Hanzo lineup. Stylists enjoy how deep the offset angle is on the handle along with how far back the thumb rolls to keep both the hand and wrist in a comfortable, neutral position. The design of the HH44 allows continuous contact with the thumb while holding the wrist straight. The ergonomic finger rests at the top are designed to give more control and comfort along the shear’s neck. An exaggerated spoon tang allows the stylist to completely wrap their pinky around it and exercise more control of the stationary bottom blade. The shear is weighted slightly more in the handle to not only give the stylist more control when cutting sharp lines but also add precision to their detail work by eliminating any kind of drag in the scissor. The HH44 is a tremendous all-around cutting shear with a strong emphasis on wet hair, available in 5.5”, 6.0” and 6.5” inches.

Countersunk locking tension control

Countersunk locking tension control enables stylists and barbers to readily adjust and control the amount of tension or tightness between the blades of the shears. This feature is important for maintaining the performance and longevity of the scissor, as well as ensuring clean and efficient cuts. It allows users to tailor the tool’s performance to specific cutting tasks and materials.

Screw-in bumper

This feature is designed to absorb shock or impact and protect the shears from damage during use. It is often found on the pivot area of the shears, where the two blades meet and interact.

Shock Absorption

The screw-in bumper absorbs the shock that occurs when the blades of the shears come together during cutting. It reduces the stress and wear on the blades and pivot point.

Leverage Protection

Hanzo’s screw-in bumpers prevent chipping or dulling of the blade edges by blunting the impact. This is especially important when cutting especially hard, abrasive, or dry hair types.
