Lauren’s passion for doing hair came alive when she was a little girl. Following in the footsteps of her father and grandmother, she began working in their salon at the age of 14. It wasn’t long after working there that she enrolled in cosmetology school. With the support of her artistic family, Lauren set her eyes on the Aveda Institute in Youngstown, Ohio. While in school, she discovered a craving for the fusion between learner and educator. She then set the goal of becoming the total package of educator and hairstylist. Lauren went on to become an educator for Paul Mitchell the School as well as becoming the director of education for her salon.
As a frequent visitor to art museums, Lauren finds inspiration for her craft in painting, sculptures, and photography. She believes that in order to be the best, you must be inspired by the beauty within the depths of art. She classifies herself as a “forever learner.” She says, “You can not grow unless you are willing to open a closed door of a new subject.” The museums are a classroom where she gets an explosion of education.
Passion and drive are just two of the many words to describe Lauren. With her heartfelt approach and her artistic eye, her resume includes editorial work, fashion week runway, specialty educator, salon owner, salon director, and freelance hair & makeup artist for musicians and athletes from around the country.
