After several years freelancing as a hair and makeup artist, Ashley attended Ricci’s Academy of Cosmetology. Upon completing the program, she worked as a stylist at Ricci’s Salon and Spa in Newtown, CT and then at Tease in Danbury, CT. before moving on to establish her own salon, Save Your Scissors, in Bethel, CT in 2012. Save Your Scissors moved to our current location in Sandy Hook, CT in 2014.
Ashley has always felt as though her clients are a part of her extended family. She has often said, ” I never feel like I am really working. I feel as if I am just hanging out with friends and doing their hair.”
Save Your Scissors is an upscale and edgy salon where Ashley and her staff provide each client with their undivided attention and addresses their individual needs and concerns with creativity and professionalism.
Ashley is passionate about staying current in her field. She has had training from Vidal Sassoon and Nick Arrojo and is certified in numerous color lines, including Clairol, Wella, Loreal and Color Design. Ashley was a Platnium.Key Educator for Kevin.Murphy and has traveled to various salons on the East Coast inspiring and educating stylists on the world of Kevin.Murphy, a brand that inspired her work. She is a Brazilian Bond Builder Sponsored Artist. Ashley is also part of the Hattori Hanzo education team, teaching classes and attending trade shows nation wide.
In addition, Ashley collaborates with numerous photographers, and lends her talents to assist with photo shoots, proms, weddings and special events, including working backstage at New York Fashion Week, Trade shows nationwide and working directly with some of the industries top companies and brands.
